The Spanner/Shoichi fic I've found is all mopey and angsty. This doesn't really seem to jive with the Spanner/Shoichi dynamic from the episodes where they interact.
I want something with fluff, where they build stuff together until Shouichi has to run off and get jerked around by Byakuran for a while, but where Shouichi looks forward to spending that little bit of time with Spanner. Dammit, I'm out of practice finding what I want in fandom, apparently.
I may have given up trying to find fic with my primary pairing, too. Fuck you, fandom. Also, fuck you for the random numbering scheme for pairings. If you didn't want to do smush-names, couldn't you at least have picked a scheme that made some damn sense?
For those of you not in the know, the fandom is Katekyou Hitman REBORN!, which may be one of the crackier shounen shows out right now. I'm talking, like, a Mafia hitman who's five years old, sort of cracky. |

Wait, there's seriously NO Petshop of Horrors fanfiction with Woo-fei?
Dude, extremely hot, Chinese Mafia boss who drags D around, wiretaps the shop, shows up suspiciously on a regular basis and who refuses to take a pet from D's shop. Where is my porn? Fandom disappoints me.
Also, his name is Wufei. It amuses me in an oblique way that I can now imagine extraordinarily stupid, bad crossovers.
Why yes, I did just discover the Petshop of Horrors sequel series. LOL LATE.
And here I thought there wasn't anything anime-ish that could interest me right now. Huh.
... I'm trying to pretend this head cold doesn't exist. But I can't lay down without stuffing up again and being unable to breath. Stupid body. |

Despite lack of sleep the fact that really should be saving my money, I went to Tales of Anime yesterday (it went Fri-Sun, but I was working the other days). It was really laid back-- I knew a lot of the staff and a bunch of people who were there, so I ran around, got hugs, and just generally hung out.
Johnny Yong Bosch was there, but he's an asshole. The other two I wanted to invite to Yaoicon, though. I got a bunch of random stuff, most of it for free because people are awesome.
And I spent most of the evening playing with Tidus' gun. Literally. It's heavy and metal and looks pretty real. I wandered around, pretending I was Dean Winchester (Shut up! Leave me alone ot my fangirlishness!)
Also, in a display of amazing trust, Sue let me operate the credit card machine for the charity auction, despite the fact that I wasn't officially a volunteer. This might have something to do with the fact that the ToA staff is used to me being a helpful little volunteer beaver and didn't think anything of it when I offered to be the bank for the auction.
At the end of the night, just before I left, I got into a random discussion with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) joasakura, because we started quoting Nextwave at each other. Wilma ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/syndicated.gif) warrenellis makes me friends.
Tidus is a helpful panda. ♥ He drove me home and everything. Where I called my girlfriend and get her annoyed because i fell asleep in the middle of a conversation. |

| Note on Fanime |

Contrary to what I've told everybody for the past three months, I am apparently going to Fanime.
I felt guilty for going on mom's 60th birthday weekend, mum felt guilty about keeping me from the con, so we're compromising. Mom, dad, and I will be staying at the Crowne Plaza from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning (we've got a bar mitzvah on Satty, so no morning-con stuff for me.)
So. I'd like to hang out with y'all Satty night and Sunday. Wanna have dinner together? Go to masquerade? lichifruit, sleepfighter, bandit_genrou and basilmemories, I know will be there, right? Will y'all have your cell phones?
Anyone else going that I'm missing?
(Which reminds me... One of the eighth graders from the Jew retreat about a month back said she was gonna be there. Small blonde girl-- last time I saw her at a con she was with an Anna and a Sasuke. I gotta remember to keep an eye out.)
